Sky released his newest song "Shoes" to radio and online this week, on the heels of the success of last summer’s hot feel good track “Wild Side” (225 spins on Sirius XM 171 to date), and the fireside Christmas duet “Mistletoe”.
Since then, Sky has sung those songs in multiple countries, including in France and then Belgium the day of the airport attack.
Sky got the inspiration for “Shoes” while on the pull-out bed at producer Jason Barry’s recording studio watching the movie “Fools Gold”.
He later polished the song up with veteran co-writer Jesse Tucker who currently serves as Brett Eldredge’s musical director.
“Shoes” is a fun tongue-in cheek song about dating, finding true love, and trying out a few misfits along the way.
