We just updated our song list on the "Songs/Media" tab. They're now organized by decade. Are there any songs you think we should learn? Let us know! (the button below will take you straight there)
We're playing an 80's themed party soon and so we're adding to our 80's repertoire. Tonight we met on zoom to discuss possibilities (image below). What are your favourite 80's songs that you think we should learn? Let us know in the comments.
This is the first year post-covid that Cakewalk is fully booked for Christmas parties. We're back baby! We'll be rocking the Vancouver corporate Christmas party dance floors every weekend from now until the big day.
Happy Holidays everyone! Planning a wedding during covid is not an easy task. What will life and local restrictions be like in 6 months? When can I book a date that I can be sure will work out? Of course there are no easy answers to these questions. Cakewalk makes one thing easy: we never charge for date changes or cancellations. That’s right- you can book cakewalk now for your future event with the peace of mind that if you should need to push the date forward or outright cancel- we won’t charge you a thing. It’s just how we do business.
Call now to discuss having the funnest band ever play at your wedding! 778-882-5645 The Boston Dynamics robots are at it again. They'd be a great addition to a Cakewalk show! Merry Christmas everyone! Catch our singer Sky in the Lifetime Christmas film "Sweet Mountain Christmas". He plays a singer in bar while the romantic leads dance and re-kindle an old flame. They also play his original songs 4 times in the film!
Looking for a way to make the film extra cheer-y? Here's a Sweet Mountain Christmas drinking game (careful to drink responsibly, they say these words a lot!) - If you were hosting a wedding or dance party this summer what would be the new hot song that you would want to hear? We're thinking that the Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" might be the song of the summer. Do you love it? Discuss Cakewalk takes the Covid19 virus and social distancing measures very seriously. All of our 2019 shows have been cancelled or postponed, and we haven't gotten together as a group to rehearse since early March. We as a group have never underestimated the importance of keeping our skills sharp through frequent practice so we've had multiple conference calls to figure out a solution. We've looked at different online rehearsal platforms (all failed) and we've been recording ourselves at home and sharing the tracks with each other to show progress. We've also added a lot of new songs to our repertoire since we have so much downtime to learn new material :P.
We definitely miss getting together to play real live music, but when we're able to do so, we'll bring the noise in a big way. Hoping you and your families are safe and well, Sky Cakewalk Band singer |
